Did you know you can access E-books and Audiobooks for free with your Cranbrook account?
Follow the instructions on this page to access e-books or audio books on your desktop, laptop, or mobile device!
1. Go to the CKUS Boundless catalog page here.
2. On the Boundless homepage, click on SIGN IN in the upper right corner. Use your student or employee ID as your Library Card ID.
3. Once inside, navigate to the three bars in the upper left corner of the page. From this menu you can select to view featured lists or browse the entire collection using filters such as popularity, availability, subject, format and more!
4. If you see a book that you'd like to check out, simply click on the title for more information such as a synopsis and audio book length. If there is a copy available, you will be able to select "Check Out" and borrow the book digitally for up to three weeks. If the book is currently checked out, you can click "Place Hold" to have your name put on a priority list for when it is returned by the current borrower.
5. From that same sidebar menu, you can view, edit, and cancel your current holds and checkouts.
6. Through the Checkout page, you can view the books you currently have checked out and click read to open them up in an online browser. Boundless offers a number of tools to improve your reading experience such as note taking and highlighting, display adjustments, and a search feature.
7. If you would like to access these resources from a mobile device, simply download the Boundless app and follow the steps above!
8. When you're done reading, you can return the book manually through the book's page in the checkout menu, or if you forget, it will automatically return itself at the end of the checkout period.
